Chris Richardson is the Co-Founder of Richardson Sotheby's International Realty, an award-winning luxury real estate brokerage serving the California Coastline in San Luis Obispo County.

Chris has received numerous industry awards and designations including: Affiliate of the Year, Luxury Agent Specialist, and member of the Master’s Circle.

For more than 20 years, Chris has had an unwavering commitment to being on the leading edge of innovation in real estate. He is a founding member of Realm, a real estate tech startup featuring a virtual platform in the luxury real estate space that helps elite real estate professionals connect with luxury properties throughout the world.

Chris’ career in real estate began early. His grandfather, whom he calls a “real estate cowboy”, was one of the top real estate brokers in Paso Robles, and his father founded Richardson Properties in the late 80s. Chris learned the business from the ground up, working for his father doing final walkthroughs on new homes for sale and occasionally “scraping paint off windows” to make sure they were ready to go.

A firm believer in supporting his community, Chris has been highly involved in a variety of local and civic groups in his hometown of San Luis Obispo including:

• Co-Developer of the 750+ Avila Ranch Community
• Appointed by the SLO City Council to update the City’s Land Use and Circulation Element Update
• Member, Board of Directors for the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce
• Member of the REACH Council, a Regional Economic Action Coalition

In addition to his business and civic activities, Chris is an active member in the World Business Forum and Young Presidents’ Organization and was named one of the Top 40 under 40 by the Pacific Coast Business Times.

Chris is often called upon to represent the industry and has spoken for: Luxury Portfolio International and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

Chris holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California Polytechnic and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management from Loyola Marymount University.

When he is not busy with all things real estate, Chris spends his time hiking with his dog Shadow, golfing, dining out, wine tasting, visiting with friends and family, and is looking forward to his next trip to Italy.
